This Friday at Yugong Yishan, Contraplans & OOC will give us a live show of “East Meets West”. Contraplans represents acoustic-folk-punk-pop from the UK, and OOC represents local rock. Be prepared for the collision.

Contraplans is a Beijing-based band from UK. It represents acoustic-folk-punk Pop. Drawing influenced by many British musiciens such as Frank Turner, The Enemy, Rolling Stones and The Beijing Beatles! The band consists of John E. Devlin (vocals), Troy Reilly, Phil Crimmins (drums) and Pedro Gutierrez (bass).

Formed in Beijing in 2008, the rock band OOC debuted in 2010 with a 5-track namesake EP called ‘Out Of Control’, and went on a tour across more than twenty cities in China in 2011. In September 2012, the band launched its very first album called ‘OOC’. Influenced by various styles and genres in the composition and arrangement of its music, OOC conveys a clear and coherent message: out of control, with mutual respect! The band includes Scott Cheng (vocals), Jude Miao (guitar), Xin Chen (bass) and Wenlong (drums).
