2, No. 88

2No. 88 is a national Chinese clubbing chain, and they have come to Shanghai to creat a crazy and happy atmosphere here. No. 88 can be seen as one of the craziest dance club you could find in Shanghai. Dancers, actors, dice, performers are all available here. If you’re looking to be higher as much as you can, head up No. 88. The only deficiency is lacking a proper-sized dance floor. But people who want to dance in 88 can always find a place.

3Opened by Carina Lau, Muse and Muse 2 have become very popular in Shanghai. Muse has two floors. Downstairs is a music and dance club with DJs and human-beatbox performances. A dance floor is available for clients to shake and dance to their hearts’ content. Upstairs has a smaller hip hop room that hops on weekends. MUSE also has a VIP lounge which is members only, such as supermodels, movie stars and celebrities at home and abroad. The club will hold a membership theme party every month.

4, MUSE2

4MUSE 2 is another club that has been invested by Carina Lau. Now it has been a very popular club among young people in Shanghai. Environment of the bar is good. Decoration is concise and fashionable, generous and has emotional appeal. Various cocktails taste great, look colorful. The only shortcoming here is the dancing floor, not big enough. However, it doesn’t matter the business. Still a lot of customers here every night.

5, The Shelter

5The Shelter is housed in a converted bomb shelter; hence the bar is named The Shelter. Since opening up, the club has attracted a variety of people to have fun there. The Shelter is a place to come for underground dance music. The club is dark, sweaty, black, loud and thumping. Every week or month there will be a party hold by Shanghai fashion clubbers. With some of the most creative DJs in Shanghai, music in the club ranges from Reggae to IDM to Drum and Bass to Electro to Hip Hop. Drinks are cheap. The whole club is a dance floor.

6, M1NT

6M1NT is a club, a bar as well as a high-end restaurant. This is one of the most luxurious clubs in Shanghai. Located on the top floor of Pidemco Tower, M1NT offers a great view of the Bund. This club offers membership only. If you want to get an entrance, you’d better get a membership card or phone ahead and reserve a table. Decoration here is elegant and luxurious. Both Chinese and foreign young people like dancing here. Drinks are definitely experience.

7, Zapata’s Mexican Cantina

7Directly in the neighborhood of Sasha’s you will find Zapata’s. They even share the garden. Often named as “the best place for a date in town”, this club is most popular for young “expats” from all over the world. Most famous is the lady’s night on Wednesday with a lot of very sexy girls. Zapata’s is also a famous pickup place, but you should know, a lot of the sexy girls there will be very interested in going home with you, but most time not for “free”.
